"I found the first edition of the Inland Terminals Conference to be very interesting both concept-wise and content-wise. Very interesting indeed was the opinion of various speakers, that inland terminals can play an important role in solving the congestion problems in seaports, provided larger cargo flows are directed to these inland ports. The exhibition too proved to be worth-while. I look forward to a second edition of the event."

"I would like to offer my congratulations to the first edition of the European Inland terminals Conference and Exhibition Duisburg which was quite interesting and copious for all participants. Due to the wide scope of topics of the conference program it was not very difficult to identify themes where everybody heard some new information or to find a partner for a conversation."

"In my opinion it was a good start for the fair and a successful first conference. I was positively surprised by the international speakers of the conference. Also the quality of most of the delegates was satisfactory for me and my colleagues from the sales department."

"The first conference on this subject allowed the gathered transport specialists both empirically and theoretically to find the tools they need in order to make the right decisions in trade related matters.
I particularly appreciated the specialised nature of the conference concerning the inland connections, which is often neglected in more general conferences. Very useful it was, to learn the reasoning behind the logistical optimisation that leads shippers and forwarders to diversify the modes of their supply chain. This micro-economic vision is indispensable to understand the stakes the inland platforms have in the entire chain. As one of the issues of the conference it allowed me to get a more complete view of pre and post transport decisions and how they are made: such as ways to avoid saturating deep sea ports, but also means to deal with congestion and adapt to the micro-economic thinking of the logistical providers.
Finally, the presented case studies on some of the procedures used in the field broadened one’s ground knowledge and proved to be very interesting indeed."

"The first edition of the European Inland Terminals Conference and Exhibiton Duisburg was very interesting and succesful. As an exhibitor we were able to meet relations in our branche and which gave us the opportunity to introduce ECT into the market. As a visitor of the conference we were able to learn more about port related authorities and colleague-Inland Terminals all over the world. The presentations and speeches were well choosen and interesting for both the participants and visitors. A continuation of the Conference and Exhibition is recommended by us."
