The Roof of the Grande Arche
The roof of the Grande Arche is a unique venue resting at the top of La Grande Arche in the heart of the larg-est business quarter in Europe, La Défense (3200 offices). The Grande Arche is a perfect cube of concrete, glass and white marble 360 feet high. It was constructed in 1989 on the historical axis of Paris in line with the Arc de Triomphe (Pl. Charles de Gaulle), the Obelisk of Luxor (Pl. de la Concorde) and the Louvre.
At 110 metres high the roof of La Grande Arche offers stunning views over the Axis of Paris. It is an amazing, modern congress and events centre, where events may be organised day and night (conditions permitting).
It has 800 sqm of adaptable space, two lounges (each measuring 400 sqm) and four auditoriums, seating from 27 up to 192 - all fully air conditioned with high quality acoustics.
Spectacular access is by way of 4 free standing panoramic glass windowed elevators, making the ride up to the penthouse an experience in itself. (Other access for visitors with no head for heights is available).
Public transportation: Métro, bus, RER, tramway, train. Taxi stand outside the building. 35,000 parking spaces.
